A Donor Society Benefiting Schlarman Academy's Tuition Assistance Fund
A Truly Special Person
Monsignor Motsett's involvement with Schlarman began in 1948, shortly after the school opened. Fr. Motsett remained a strong supporter of Schlarman High School until his death on December 14, 2006, attending many of our athletic contests, eating lunch with students and attending all school masses. It is easy to say that he was and always will be the spirit and heart of Schlarman.
In His Honor
In honor of the dedication and commitment of Msgr. C. B. Motsett, Schlarman is pleased to have established The Motsett Society. Through this Society, Schlarman recognizes those men and women who have demonstrated a tangible interest in supporting Schlarman and who have expressed a desire to become more closely associated with its purposes, plans and programs. Membership in the Motsett Society is offered to friends who, in the dedicated tradition of Msgr. Motsett, are willing to make an unrestricted annual investment of $1,000, $2,500, $5,000 or more.
"The Motsett Society is an opportunity to not only recognize the impact of one man on the mission and accomplishments of Schlarman, but it also is a means to perpetuate the qualities of its future graduates by ensuring the availability of needed tuition. Today’s graduates will unfortunately never know Father C.B. Motsett, at least not directly. Each of us can identify our own quality for which we remember him, but for me his human decency is the most enduring and the one I hope my contribution to the Motsett Society can sustain."
